Comparamais chooses EDC for its communications and marketing in Portugal

4 de August, 2026

The credit, energy and telecoms comparison platform has entrusted the agency with its communications strategy, content and digital visibility as it expands in the domestic market.

EDC, an Edelman-affiliated communications and design agency in Portugal, has been chosen by Comparamais to manage its marketing and communications strategy in Portugal. The partnership began in July and covers press relations, content strategy, SEO, communications across the company’s own channels and performance reporting.

Comparamais is an independent comparison platform for credit, energy and telecoms, part of the international Clar group, which helps Portuguese consumers compare offers and make more informed financial decisions.

“Choosing EDC addresses a clear need: we want to grow on a more solid footing, with less reliance on paid channels, whilst building brand awareness and trust amongst Portuguese consumers. In EDC, we have found a partner who understands the business and works to the high standards required by a regulated sector such as ours,” says Ricardo Coelho, Managing Director of Comparamais.

“It is a project that brings together two things we enjoy: a demanding sector, where the accuracy of information matters, and a very specific business objective. We are grateful for Comparamais’s trust and are confident in the journey we will undertake together,” says João Trigo, managing director at EDC.

As the agency in charge, EDC manages relations with the media, produces a monthly editorial plan, handles the public positioning of the brand’s spokespersons, implements a search engine optimisation strategy for both traditional search engines and new AI-based search engines, and carries out integrated monitoring of results by business area.

The work centres on strengthening the brand’s organic presence and diversifying its acquisition channels, in a market where the comparison of financial products and essential services is playing an increasingly important role in the decisions of Portuguese households.
